Free Cellphone Repairs: Samsung I9100G 2.3.5 update to ICS turns to dead boot ( Resurrect and Update Done )

I9100G 2.3.5 Gingerbread customer want to update to Ice Cream Sandwich

First attempt in upgrading odin shows error and FAIL to update unit turns to Deadboot

I9100G 2.3.5 Gingerbread

Here's how i do it

First step ko Buck Up ko muna yung EFS niya for some possible future problem in IMEI

How to Buck Up EFS

First Root your phone

i try to root it in UnlockRoot kaso fail siya lagi kahit reset ko na para malinis

i use this File to root this phone

Just turn into Download mode your device by pressing Volume Down + Home Button + Power Button

then Run Odin wait till Odin detect your phone , the word "Added" will be displayed in Odin

then tick PDA browse for superatmos_I9100G_kernel_v3.2.tar file then hit START in Odin

just wait till your phone reboot itself

you will see superuser on your application menu

after that Buck up na natin yung EFS niya

i use this File ( EFS Pro )

then just go to Settings/Application/Development and enable USB Debugging

then connect your Phone to your PC then run EFS Pro

then tick "Save Buckup to PC storage" para sa PC niyo mismo ma save then Hit "Buck Up EFS" button

after niyan wipe ko muna yung phone then proceed na ko sa updating kaso nag error at ayun na deadboot na nawala na ang download mode kahit gamitan ko pa ng modified USB para sa download mode eh ala na talaga

kaya Jtag mode muna, i use GPG Jtag Pro

after Jtag at na ibalik na yung Download Mode niya

Proceed na sa Updating ulit

restart muna ako PC

Boot into Download mode na yung I9100g

run Odin then wait till Odin detects your phone

( Don't Check Re Partion )

then tick PDA then browse for your ICS File then Hit START button

then Just wait till updating process end and your phone will reboot itself
