How to Root Samsung Galaxy Y S5360

1. Download Update.zip from here.

2. No need to extract. Copy the zip file to the root of the SD Card and do not paste it to any folders in the SD Card.

3. Now switch off your phone

4. After the phone is switched off, enter into recovery mode. To do this, hold the power, volume up and the home button simultaneously.

5. Now can navigate through recovery mode only with the volume up and down buttons. Select Update.zip and the root will be applied on your Galaxy Y.

6. Reboot your phone and it's rooted!! You can check for an application named "Super User" to check whether your phone is rooted or not.

Files needed:


* Samsung KIES Software o driver
* Odin3 v1.85 Flasher
* FlashFile

Procedure:

1st Downgrade

* install muna ang samsung kies driver
* open Odin3 v1.85 flasher tapos lagay ang tamang flashfile.. ( para iwas DEADBOOT )


* kunin ang unit 0 handset at ilagay sa download mode


* connect usb ( dapat o kung maa-ari walang ibang usb o handset o unit naka-connect )
* kung madetect na ang phone click or hit START button sa Odin3 flasher
* hintayin matapos at automatic magre-start ang handset
* downgrade galaxy Y android version 2.3.6 to android version 2.3.5 complete[/B]



2nd Unlock

* open samsung tool
* select phone model
* set com port setting
* check Read Codes Tab
* hit UNLOCK tab ( hintayin 1-2min hanggang lumabas ang unlock code )
* ilagay ang non-accepted sim at enter NET LOCK
* UNLOCK complete
